General info for visiting parks
When visiting the parks, it is recommended that visitors use face coverings, practice social distancing and bring their own hand sanitizer. Limited restroom facilities will be available. Hippie Hollow and Annual or Lifetime Senior Permits
Starting March 1, 2020, Hippie Hollow will no longer sell or accept any new Annual or Lifetime Senior Permits. However, existing Annual Permits with a 2020 expiration date will still be honored until their expiration is met. Senior sticker Permits will no longer waive entry fees at Hippie Hollow.
Hippie Hollow Park features a steep, rocky shoreline, with access to Lake Travis, and is the only clothing optional public park in Texas.

Know Before You Go
Hippie Hollow Park has a long tradition as the only clothing-optional public park in Texas. Entry to the park is restricted to those people 18 years and older. Please respect the privacy of other visitors and ask permission before taking photographs.
Nudity is acceptable, lewd behavior is not.
No Lifeguards on Duty
There are no lifeguards on duty, so please swim at your own risk.
The Park is open rain or shine! Any emergency closures will be listed.
Max Capacity on Holiday Weekends
Hippie Hollow Park generally reaches capacity on holiday weekends. In order to prevent overcrowding and to promote an enjoyable visitor experience, when capacity is reached, the park is closed for the remainder of the day to all incoming traffic, including pedestrians.
Please make special note that Hippie Hollow Park is open everyday of the year.
Hippie Hollow Park includes habitat for species protected under the Federal Endangered Species Act, including the Golden-cheeked Warbler and the Black-capped Vireo. As a result, certain areas of the park are off-limits to park visitors.
Pets are prohibited. No exceptions, not even if the pet is on a leash or kept in your vehicle. For information about service animals, please see our FAQ page.
Zebra Mussels have been found along the shoreline of our lake parks. Swimmers and others seeking water-based recreation should exercise caution when in or near the water.
We accept cash but do not accept credit or debit cards at the entrance booth.
The following are prohibited:
- Glass containers
- Ground fires
- Lewd behavior
- Public display of consumption of alcohol
- Tobacco products

Hippie Hollow Park lies in the basin area of Lake Travis in the Hill Country of central Texas, approximately 30-minute drive from downtown Austin. The park features a steep, rocky shoreline and provides some spectacular views of Lake Travis. This heavily-used park is popular for sunbathing and swimming.
